What I really value about Toronto is its diversity of cultures–not only with such a cosmopolitan population, but also with each of148068662313579 over 160 distinct neighbourhoods having its own unique character and feel!  I’ve lived in various areas of Toronto from 2002–from condos opposite Scarborough Town Centre to Single Family Detached homes in the 427 & Dundas Etobicoke area to West Scarborough!

Originally from small-town Ontario, I moved to Ottawa at the age of 10 where I grew up and stayed until completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology at Carleton University.  My thesis in neurochemistry, “Computer Mathematical Simulation of the Dynamic Interactions between Actin Filaments, Synaptic Vesicles, and the Cytoskeleton, you could say was the great-great grandfather of The Matrix movie–it was a computer simulation of a very simple brain.

After my Bachelors, I decided to aim my modeling skills at Financial Modeling, and completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at McMaster University’s Michael G. Degroote School of Business, where I began as a Financial specialist but being an advocate of a holistic approach to decision-making, “specialized” in Marketing Engineering (Marketing Analytics, Mathematical Marketing Modeling, and Marketing Research) which I applied after graduation at CIBC Bank’s Finance department, eventually reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Business Development, Tanya Gullison.  At that point, my reporting vice president reported two levels away from CIBC’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, John Hunkin and I had the privilege to attend dinner parties at the Rosedale home of CIBC’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Senior Executive Vice President Tom Woods.  I later left the Finance Group to join a pilot programme-testing group. C-FIRST, as performance measurements and metrics specialist.

After completing my MBA in 2003, I moved to Toronto–first moving to Etobicoke in the city’s west end, and most recently living in West Scarborough.
